주교 성성 후보자를 위한 기도

2026년 5월 8일(모든 성총의 중재자 성모 축일)부터 

7월 1일(주 예수 그리스도의 성혈 축일)까지 바칩니다. 

전능하시고 영원하신 천주여, 

당신께서는 모든 이가 구원을 얻고 진리를 깨닫기를 원하시나이다. 

성신으로써 교회의 온 신비체를 거룩하게 하시고 관장하시는 주여, 

비오니 모든 성총의 중개자이신 복되신 성모 마리아의 전구를 통하여, 

당신께서 간택하신 이들에게 성총을 가득히 부어주심으로써 당신 교회의 부족한 바를 채워 주소서. 

이로 하여금 그들 안에 확고한 신덕과, 순결한 애덕과, 진실된 평화가 빛나게 하소서. 

그들의 언변과 가르침이 세속의 얕은 지혜에 의지하지 않게 하시되, 

오직 성신과 천주의 권능에 그 바탕을 두게 하소서. 지칠 줄 모르며 사목활동에 매진하면서도 성신의 열정을 내면에 늘 간직하게 하시며, 교만을 멀리하고 겸손과 진리를 사랑하게 하시어, 세상의 칭송이나 두려움에 굴하여 결코 진리를 배반치 않게 하소서. 

저들로 하여금 어둠을 빛이라 하거나 빛을 어둠이라 하지 말게 하시며, 

선을 악이라 악을 선이라 부르지 않게 하소서. 

현자에게나 우둔한 이에게나, 배운 이에게나 무지한 이에게나 모두 한결같이 봉사하게 하시어, 모든 이가 영적으로 진보하는 열매를 거두게 하소서. 

그들 위에 당신의 축복과 성총을 풍성히 내려주시어, 당신의 사은(賜恩)을 통해 경건 해진 그들이 매순간 당신의 신성한 자비를 간구하게 하소서. 

이 모든 기도 네 아들 오주 예수 그리스도를 인하여 하소서. 저 너와 성신과 함께 천주로서 영원히 살아계시며 다스리시나이다. 아멘.

℣. 우리를 위하여 빌으소서.

   Almighty and Eternal God, Who willest that all men should come to salvation and to the knowledge of the truth, Thou Whose Spirit sanctifieth and governeth the whole Body of the Church, we humbly beseech Thee through the intercession of Our Lady Mediatrix of All Graces, to provide for the needs of Thy Church by pouring out upon Thy elect the abundance of Thy grace.

   May there shine forth in them the steadfastness of faith, the purity of charity, and the sincerity of peace.

   May their speech and their preaching rest, not upon the persuasive language of human wisdom, but upon the Spirit and the power of God.

   Tireless in external labour, may they preserve within themselves the fervour of the Spirit; may they hate pride, may they love humility and truth, never betraying it under the pressure of praise or of fear.

   May they not make of darkness light, nor of light darkness; may they not call good evil, nor evil good.

   May they be at the service of the wise as of the foolish. of the learned as of the ignorant, that they may gather the fruit of the progress of all.

   Multiply upon them Thy blessing and Thy grace, so that, filled with godliness by Thy gift, they may at ali times fruitfully implore Thy divine mercy.

   Through Our Lord Jesus Christ Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost one God, world without end. Amen.
