꿈, 환시, 음성을 보고 듣는 사람들
질문: “나의 양들은 내 음성을 들으며’(요한 10;27).
신부님 안녕하세요?. 구약에도 주님의 음성을 듣는 이들(아브라함, 야곱, 모세 등등)이 있었고 신약 이후에도 음성, 환시, 꿈 등을 가톨릭 성인들도 경험했으며, 특히 이 시대에 들어서 가톨릭 신자나 개신교 신자들의 그런 경험이 인터넷을 보면 되면 너무나 흔합니다. 몇칠 전 그런 신비한 경험을 겪은 어느 분으로부터 연락이 왔는데, 저는 그런 것이 매우 조심스럽고 두렵습니다. 성비오10세회 사제들도 그런 분이 있나요?
답변: 극소수의 사람들에게 사적인 계시가 주어집니다. 무슨 일이 일어나는가 하면 많은 사람들이 자신의 개인적인 생각, 어떤 것은 멋질 수도 있지만, 여전히 사적인 계시로서 인간적이고 개인적인 그들 자신의 생각을 받아들이고 있다는 것입니다! (십인십색이라 다 다릅니다) 그리고 그것은 많은 오류를 야기(惹起)합니다. 성경은 비록 그중 일부는 진짜였지만, (예: 창세기 요셉과 복음서 요셉) 꿈에 관심을 기울이는 것을 매우 분명하게 책망합니다.
"너희들 사이에... 꿈이나 징조를 보는 자나 마법사가 있게 해서는 안 된다."(신명기 18:10)

`이해가 없는 사람의 희망은 헛되고 기만적이다: 꿈은 어리석은 자를 일으켜 세운다. 거짓말을 하는 환상에 주의를 기울이는 사람은 그림자를 보고, 바람을 따라가는 자와 같다. 꿈의 비전은 한 사물과 다른 사물의 유사성이다: 마치 어느 사람의 얼굴 앞에 있는 비슷한 어떤 사람처럼 말이다. 부정한 자에 의해 깨끗해질 수 있는 것은 무엇인가? 거짓인 것으로부터 무슨 진실이 나오는가? 기만적인 분열과 거짓말의 징조와 악인의 꿈은 허영이다: 그리고 그 심장은 산통(産痛)하는 여자의 심장처럼 헛되도다. 그것이 가장 높은 곳에서 보내온 비전이라는 것만 빼면 그러하다. 그들에게 그대의 마음을 정하지 않는다. 꿈은 많은 사람을 속였고, 그리고 꿈들은 그들에 대한 신뢰를 심어 주는 데에 실패했기 때문이다. 르페브르 대주교는 (신학교 당시) 우리에게 온갖 사적인 발현을 경계하라고 경고하셨습니다. 그러나 (우리가) 천주님의 음성을 듣고자 한다면 가장 좋은 것은 천국에 대비하는 것입니다. 왜냐하면 우리는 여기에 천주님의 말씀, 곧 아들 / 천주 지혜의 말씀으로서 아버지로부터 나아가시는 우리 주 예수 그리스도가 있을 것이기 때문입니다. 그리고 하나는 저 공적인 계시(성경, 교회의 가르침, 전통)에 대한 충실함으로써 천국에 가는 것인데, 가톨릭교회는 우리 주 예수 그리스도 자신으로부터 오는 저 계시를 쥐고 있습니다.

A: private revelations are given to very few people. What happens is that many people take their own personal thinking – which may be nice, but still human and personal – as a private revelation! And that causes lots of errors. The Scriptures very clearly reprove paying attention to dreams, though some of them were authentic (e.g. Joseph in Genesis and Joseph in the Gospel):
"Neither let there be found among you any one that ... observeth dreams and omens, neither let there be any wizard" (Deut. 18:10)
The bad king Manasses (2 Chr 33:1-6) "observed dreams..."
"The hopes of a man that is void of understanding are vain and deceitful: and dreams lift up fools. The man that giveth heed to lying visions, is like to him that catcheth at a shadow, and followeth after the wind. The vision of dreams is the resemblance of one thing to another: as when a man's likeness is before the face of a man. What can be made clean by the unclean? and what truth can come from that which is false? Deceitful divinations and lying omens and the dreams of evildoers, are vanity: And the heart fancieth as that of a woman in travail: except it be a vision sent forth from the most High, set no thy heart upon them. For dreams have deceived many, and they have failed that put their trust in them." (Eccli. 34:1-7 DRA)
Archbishop Lefebvre warned us against all kinds of private apparitions.
However, if one wants to hear the voice of God, the best is to prepare oneself for Heaven, because there we shall here the Word of God, our Lord Jesus Christ proceeding from the Father as the Son / the Word of Divine Wisdom. And one goes to heaven by fidelity to that public revelation, which the Catholic Church holds from our Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
