질문 성비오10세회는 윌리엄슨 주교처럼 주교성성을 또 안하나요?

답변  제가 아는 한, 성비오10세회(SSPX)에서 주교를 성성할 즉각적인 계획은 전혀 없습니다. 르페브르 대주교께서 80세가 넘어서 4명의 주교를 성성했지만, 주교가 된 이 중 펠레 주교와 갈라레타 주교는 현재 60세가 안됩니다! 성비오10세회가 커진 규모로 인하여 해야 할 일이 더 있다하더라도 주교성성이라는 긴급한 필요성은 없습니다.

윌리엄슨 주교는 1명, 이후 1명의 주교를 더 성성해서 2명을 성성했는데 여기에는 성성해야할 적절한 이유도 없습니다. 그의 첫 번째 이유는 성비오10세회 일부에 대해 예상된 배반에 관한 두려움이었는데, 그것은 아직도 발생하지 않았습니다. (그의 근본적인 이유는 거짓 두려움에 바탕을 두고 있었습니다)

셋째로 윌리엄슨 주교는 현재 그와 함께하는 사제가 50명도 안되고 그들과 완전히 일치를 이루지도 않고 적절한 구조를 가지고 있지 않습니다. (사제들은 모두 신경(腎莖)이었으니, 장상이 없는 사제를 교회는 절대적으로 거부해왔고, 그리고 르페브르 대주교조차도 장상이 없이 사제 서품을 거부하였습니다) 이와는 대조적으로 그 당시에 르페브르 대주교는 따르는 200명 이상의 사제들과 이에 동조하는 종교공동체, 모든 적절한 장상들이 있었고 성장하여 지금은 그 당시보다 3배나 증가하였습니다. 가엾은 윌리엄슨 주교는 자신이 행한 일에 대한 적절한 이유를 못가지고 있다는 점을 우리가 더 많은 증거를 보여줄 수 있습니다. 그러므로 그 주교를 따를 이유가 없는 것입니다!

Q  Will SSPX have the plan to consecrate a bishop as Bp. R. Williamson did?



A   As far as I know, there are no immediate plans to consecrate any bishop in the SSPX: Archbishop Lefebvre was more than 80years when he consecrated the four bishops, Bishop Fellay and bishop de Galarreta are not even 60! Though they have more work, due to the increased size of the SSPX, there is not yet any urgent need.

Bishop Williamson did consecrate a bishop – even two – but without any proper reason: first his reason was the fear of a presupposed betrayal on the part of the SSPX, which has not yet happened (= his fundamental reason was based on false fears).

Secondly, he consecrated a bishop who was as old as he was: this is not really assuring the future! (by contrast Archbishop Lefebvre consecrated bishops who were between 40 and 50 years younger than he was! This is really a contrast!)

Thirdly, Bishop Williamson did not even have 50 priests with him, with no proper structure uniting them (they were all “vagus” = priest with no superiors, which the Church absolutely rejects, and even Archbishop Lefebvre always refused to ordain priests without superiors); in contrast Archbishop Lefebvre has more than 200 priests (plus friendly communities) all with proper superiors and growing (we are now about three times larger than then). And we could give more reasons to show that poor Bishop Williamson did not have proper reasons to do what he did. So there is no reason to imitate him!
